Anomaly Detected Chapter 2 Journal

Track The Neighbourhood Journal in Anomaly Detected with layered feed anchors, controlled capture comparisons, and current missing-entry checks.

The official Chapter 2 Journal badge is “Chapter 2 Journal – 100% Completion,” badge ID 2974723314672545. It asks players to capture all known anomalies within the Chapter 2 Journal. The associated official chapter is The Neighbourhood, using that spelling. Public badge data does not reveal the entry total, locations, probabilities, or capture trigger.

Chapter 2 method: save the current Neighbourhood Journal state, map visible feeds by foreground, middle, and background anchors, and compare after one recognized report.

Open the correct collection

Select Chapter 2 in the Journal and copy only names that are already visible. Record hidden slots by position without assigning them an identity. Add the current UTC date, device, mode, and party state.

Choose “Chapter 2 – The Neighbourhood” in the contract selector. “Neighborhood” is an alternative spelling players may search, but the official name and this Journal record use “Neighbourhood.” That prevents one collection from being mistaken for another route.

Read live controls and report labels. The published zoom inputs are Shift, L2, and double tap. The current interface supplies everything else.

Map wide Neighbourhood feeds

Use only the views in your session. For each one, choose a foreground edge, a central stable structure or object, a background silhouette, and a light source. These layers make small distant changes easier to locate without inventing a room map.

Sweep the layers in the same order. Compare object presence and position, repeated light behavior, and independent shadow motion. If a detail needs zoom, inspect one layer and return wide before continuing.

Record the displayed feed label with the Journal observation. “Outdoor view” is too vague if several feeds look broad. A fixed boundary and official number make a later entry actionable.

Run a controlled capture check

When an anomaly is clear, state chapter, feed, anchor, normal state, and changed state. Select the current room and category and save the response. Continue the contract until a normal result or save point, then reopen Chapter 2.

FeedLive label plus unique layer or boundary.Current contract screen.
BaselineNormal foreground, center, and background relationships.Clean pass before the event.

Journal resultRevealed name or updated state.Same Journal after the run.

Do not call a capture rule confirmed after one ambiguous session. Repeat a clear result or label it Community reported with the date.

Test solo and co-op separately

Solo isolates your report and is the best first test for a missing Chapter 2 entry. Co-op can increase observation coverage, but the public official material does not define Journal credit.

In a group, record which player owned the feed, who reported, and which accounts gained progress. If results differ, preserve the conditions and test once more rather than deciding that the game is random.

The maximum server size is eight, not evidence that a full lobby improves Chapter 2 Journal progress. Choose clear roles over headcount.

Troubleshoot a missing entry

Verify the selected chapter, report success, and whether the entry was already captured. Rejoin through the official place and check the Journal once. If an update changed the visible slots, save a new dated baseline.

Do not assume Veteran is required or that a hidden entry has a particular spawn location. The separate Veteran badge proves that mode goal exists, but does not describe Journal dependencies.

If the same result reproduces, share exact chapter, feed, baseline, report response, mode, party, and date with the official group. Avoid vague reports such as “Journal broken.”

Maintain the Neighbourhood record

New anomalies are officially in development. Treat a Chapter 2 list as current only when every row has a location, baseline, result, and check date. Do not carry an old total forward after the Journal changes.

Use The Neighbourhood guide for layered feed mapping and Shadow Anomalies for moving shapes at distant boundaries.

Common mistakes

  • Mixing American and official spelling across two supposed chapters.
  • Naming hidden entries from ordering alone.
  • Saving no before-state.
  • Confusing a distant object with a Journal-confirmed anomaly.
  • Assuming co-op credit without comparing accounts.
  • Treating badge creation time as the release date of every entry.
